William McInerney - Former Co-Chair 20/21

William is a PhD candidate, and a Gates Cambridge Scholar in the Faculty of Education researching critical masculinities and peace education through qualitative and arts-based methodologies. He is an educator, poet, and journalist with a decade of experience at the nexus of creative expression and conflict transformation. His work and research on spoken word poetry and men’s violence prevention education has been featured in media outlets, at universities, and on stages across the US and around the world. William is a National Poetry Slam Finalist, Southern Poetry Slam Champion, Rotary Peace Fellow alumni, Institute for Economics and Peace Ambassador, and Global Grant Scholar.
